Amy de Jong
Developer, Dazychain
I'm a developer for Dazychain.
I've been at Yarris just over two years.
I went straight to uni from school, and completed a degree in history before switching to IT. I started at Yarris just after finishing my IT degree.
I'm still trying to figure out what I'd like to do in the future. Right now, I'm focusing on developing my skills and learning as much as I can.
What I enjoy most about my job is the problem-solving side of things. I like trying to track a problem to its source and developing a solution for it. That moment when you test something you've been trying to fix and it works perfectly is really satisfying.
The most challenging part of my job is also the problem-solving. Sometimes it can be difficult to identify the cause of a particular problem or find a good solution for it, which can make the whole process both frustrating and time-consuming.
I got into development because I enjoyed IT classes at school and wanted to learn more about the field, so I went to study it at uni. At uni I found that I really enjoyed working with code and learning how to build something out of nothing.
In my spare time I enjoy reading and hiking.
